How close are these hotels in Florida?

My cousins and I are going on vacation to Florida. We're both staying in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. They're staying at The Harbor Beach Marriott Resort and Spa and we're staying at The Lago Mar Resort. My question is how close together are these two hotels? When I looked at the map, it looked like they were on the same beach and vevy close. Can you walk from one to the other along the beach? Thanks.

1. Yes...they are 1.71 miles apart by car...shorter along the beach...a somewhat long walk or a short car ride
