Is it Illegal to carry a sheathed sword on you (holstered to you hip perhaps) in Florida, Miami, Dade-County? It is of uttermost importance that each community has the very best in education, and for those no longer in school due to age, economic reasons, etc., the LIBRARY is the excellent choice. I have encountered quite a few faults with three local public libraries, among those the inability of many to concentrate due to almost constant and loud talk from staff even; Regular and long conversations on cell phones; the almost harassing manner from staff regarding use of toilet facilities and "reservation computers"; the very ridiculously designed and juxtapositioned place for only a few computers (for a facility of almost 60 people), right under a stairway with open steps from where all above can see up the clothing of ladies going up the stairs!!! I've mentioned some of this to staff with only the most silly of explanations. PLEASE, does someone know where I can take these problems to?

I filed a lawsuit "complaint" in Miami-Dade County Florida- My understanding is....? .... that the Defendant has within 20 days in which to respond to the "complaint". The Defendant has requested, from the Judge an "Enlargement of Time"; an additional 15 days in which to answer. To my knowledge- from the court records "docket" the Judge has not granted nor denied this request for an enlargement of time. Its been 20 days plus an additional 17 days and I still have not received an answer to the "complaint". Am I entitled to a Default Judgment? I'm pro se and can't afford to hire a lawyer...

I have my ccw Cunsealed Weapons Licence, I charged at by a german shepard I shot three times in the air.I know its a crime to discharge a firearm in public but I was defending myself and my friend. I was then arrested in the arrest form the ooficers failed to put my side of the story.It was booked as a misdemeanor.My subpoena reads my court the felony floor.I was told by an officer that I'm facing three years meaning prison time,Its my first offense obiously since the state gave me a permit.I have video of the dog as well.will this help.I dont have an attorney I have a public defender.Any advice would be highly appreciated. thank you.

DO I have to pay unpaid parking tickets in miami florida from 2001? I recieved a letter from Miami Dade county (florida) in reference to 2 unpaid parking tickets that were issued in 2001. I still live in Miami Dade county. I no longer own this vehicle and have actually owned about 6 vehicles since then and nothing ever came up. How can I find out how much money Florida Power and Light contributed to Miami-Dade County Democratic Party? FPL (Florida Power and Light Company ) is trying to renew its contract with our municipality 2 years early. We just won a long battle with them to keep their 80 foot transmission lines and substations out of out tiny community (Biscayne Park). One of our Commissioners who is in favor of signing the franchise agreement with FPL 2 years early and in a big rush, happens to be the executive Director of the Democratic party in Miami Dade County. He advocated signing the contract two years early, which has put us all in shock, because we collected almost 99% signatures just 18 months ago to keep FPL trasnmission poles and substations out of our community, and this Commissioner is turning on the residents that elected him and voting to renew a very inequitable franchise contract with FPL. We were wondering if FPL (a monopoly in Florida) paid large contributions to the Democratic party and in what amount that made him suddenly a fan of FPL. Are there any ethics violations here?
