Would a 'florida villa' style build withstand weather conditions if built in the UK? I adore the architectural style of the villas you see throughout Florida. I know that these properties are mainly built of timber construction and plasterboard inside. Would this kind of build withstand the british weather conditions if built in the UK and waterproofed? or would the internal heat escape the timber and be too thin? any input much appreciated!

Nearly every year our family and friends go on holiday to America Florida in Kissimmee we have stayed in southen dunes villas number oof times and they were great but i cant find a villa that sleeps 13 with 6 bedrooms with 4 double bed 1 room with 2 singles and 2 single rooms. How much would i expect to pay a relator for selling a Villa in Orlando Florida.? I have been quoted approx $13.000 from a relator for selling a villa in florida for $180.000 is this too much as it seems a lot of money to pay for selling my home.

We are a family of 4 with two children under 6 on a budget, is they any small cheaper villas in Florida? We are looking for the best value holiday for us to Florida. We are looking at going April 5 - 19th 2008. We want to keep the children entertained but at age 5 and 2 years they are too young for lots of rides so we would prefer just one or two days maybe at Disneyworld and Seaworld. Then hopefully spending time at a beach, sightseeing and relaxing by a play area. This will be our first holiday together so more than anything we want to spend time together and explore new things as a family. We have established that booking everything separately seems the cheaper option, though the flight prices seem extortionate anyway !! A villa would be lovely but we can only find ones that sleep up to 8 or 10 and it seems a waste when theres only 4 of us, and the children will no doubt be in our room a lot of the time. Does anyone know of any smaller or cheaper villas/homes available? Or any advise on this at all would be greatly appreciated...

What protection do I have when privately renting a villa in Florida? l'm looking to rent a privately owned villa in Florida for a holiday instead of taking a package deal. Where would I stand if weeks before I went, the villa burnt down or similar. Would I be covered under my travel insurance policy or is it the risk you take. I understand package deals are ABTA bonded or similar but I need to know what protection I have. What is everybody else's experience?

What are the differences in owning a Condo, Townhouse,Villa and Home in Florida? I have heard that the difference is you own the outside and are responsible for the upkeep on the Townhouse. On the Condo the condo association takes care of the outside. If you are buying either one you still do not own the property just the apartment that you live in . If this is true which is better and why? It seems that it would be better to buy a house or mobile home (land owned) so that at least you own the property the home is on. The fees on condos and townhouses can be very expensive and you can rarely rent them out for enough to pay mortage and fees. If the value does'nt increase on them not only are you losing money but you are paying a fee so your tennant can enjoy the amenities that come with the townhouse or condo. My husband and I are looking to buy a home which we will probally live in for at least 4 years and are not sure which would be better. If we cannot find a suitable house in our price range I think a land owned mobile home would be best.

When staying in florida do you prefer to stay in a villa or at a hotel? at a villa you have your own pool and privacy in a hotel you are closer to the parks and in walking distance to attractions like old town and restaurants which would you prefer.
